Tax Increment Finance Authority (TIFA)
The Litchfield Industrial Park is an ideal location to relocate an industry or build a new one. The Industrial Park is owned by the City of Litchfield, and is a 220+ acre Michigan Certified Industrial Park. The setting is ideal and is in the only Michigan County that borders both Ohio and Indiana. The Industrial Park is centrall located in relation to leading industrial Midwestern cities and has great highway access. The Industrial Park is reasonably priced to encourage prompt development, and both purchasing and leasing are available.
The Mission Statement of TIFA is as follows: The Litchfield Tax Increment Finance Authority is committed to promoting the economic growth of Litchfield by assisting local industries to expand or upgrade their facilities. We also promote the City of Litchfield and the Industrial Park to companies looking to relocate to the area. Through these commitments, the Industrial Park has continued to grow and prosper.
Residential Development: The City of Litchfield recognized the growing need for new housing in the area and the result was a beautiful new subdivision called Hawthorn Heights. This development is affordable and offers the opportunity to buy lots for $3,000 to $12,000. Hawthorn Heights offers a country estate atmosphere in a rolling wooded terrain. It has attractive paved streets, is close to the downtown area and schools, and is convenient to all major amenities. Contact the City Manager for further information about this friendly little subdivision at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Regular meetings of the TIFA Board are scheduled for the City Council Room, 221 Jonesville Street, Litchfield, Michigan 49252. In compliance with the "Open Meeting Act", Act 267. Public Acts of 1976, this is Public Notice of the Regular Meeting of the TIFA Board.
